Malai Lababdar – This recipe is India style curry serves with deep fry kofta which is the combination of paneer so called cottage cheese, malai (clotted cream), tomatoes, potatoes, cream and Indian spices and you can serve this recipe with butter nans or chapatis which ever you want.  This recipe is inspired by an Indian dish malai kofta a very famous dish mostly found in every restaurant. This recipe is 100% veg recipe.

Cooking time: 30 minutes    serve: 3

 Ingredients required:

  • Paneer 75 grams grated
  • Tomatoes 4 medium size chopped
  • Potatoes 4 medium size light boiled.
  • Malai 100 grams
  • Cream 3 tablespoon
  • Coriander powder 1½ teaspoons
  • Red chili powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Dalchini(Cinnamon) 1 small piece
  • Tej patta (bay leaf) 2
  • Gram masala (homemade) 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Coriander leaves
  • Cooking oil 2-3 tablespoons

Method

Step 1st Mix malai and paneer and mash all boiled potatoes then add salt after that make potatoes balls filled with mixture of paneer, malai and potatoes, then deep fry it.

Step 2nd  Heat 2 tablespoon oil in pan and add tomatoes, cook  10  min then add some water and all spices, salt and leave it for 5 min more and remove it and grind it  to make puree.

Step 3rd Again heat some oil in pan and add cumin seeds, Dalchini, Tej Patta mix whole puree and cook for 2 to 3 minutes then add cream and leave for 1 min on low flame.

Step4th Your Malai Lababdar is ready to serve you will add kofta and serve with butter nans.
